2012: Played in all 15 games in his final season at Detroit…Served as team captain for the second-straight year...Took seven shots with four on goal…Picked up his lone ground ball of the season in the overtime win against Marist…Came away with a season-high two shots in the regular-season finale at VMI…A member of the MAAC All-Academic Team…A four-year recipient of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the MAAC's Academic Honor Roll.

2011: A team captain, he saw action in all 16 games, receiving the starting nod on 10 occasions…Tallied eight points on a career-best six goals and two assists…Tied his career-high with two points on a career-best two assists against Mercer…Also had two points tying his career high watermark with two goals - including the game winner - against VMI…Found the back of the net with a marker in home games against Robert Morris, Manhattan and Canisius as well as on the road at Marist…Picked up five ground balls on the season, including a personal-best two at Ohio State…Earned a spot on the MAAC Academic All-League team and the Honor Roll as well as the Titan Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2010: Started one game, at Siena, but played in all 15 contests on the year…Had five goals on the season on just 11 shots…Recorded his first collegiate goal at Manhattan…That score started a streak of a goal in three-straight games beating the keeper against Presbyterian and VMI, both Detroit victories…Ended the year with his first multi-goal outburst posting a pair of scores in another Titan win over Wagner… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll as well as the MAAC Academic Honor Roll and All-Academic Team.

2009: Played in nine of the Titans’ 11 games…Grabbed three groundballs on the year with his season-high of two at Bryant…Took seven shots with three on goal… A member of the AD Honor Roll.

Prior to Detroit: Earned three letters in lacrosse as well as a letter in football and golf in high school…Scored 32 goals and tallied 44 assists in just two seasons at Green Mountain, accumulating All-Conference and honorable mention All-State honors as a junior, when he led the Rams with 23 goals and 32 assists…After the season, he was elected to play in the 2007 Colorado All-State game…Despite missing his senior season due to injury, Maruyama was still named team captain.

Personal: Son of Mary Ferguson and Kazuo Maruyama…Has one older brother...Came to Detroit to play Division I lacrosse…Majoring in Biology.
