Final Round Rained Out: Women's Golf 11th At NKU

Results (in pdf)

With Sunday's final 18 holes washed out, the UDM women's golf team finished in 11th place at the Northern Kentucky Invitational based on Saturday's opening-round scores.

The Titans shot a team score of 320 Saturday. Sophomore Marni Achterhoff (Muskegon, MI/Mona Shores) led the way for Detroit individually with a round of 78 to end in a tie for 26th, while classmate Liz Zouzal (Windsor, ON/Holy Names) and freshman Jackie DeMarco (LaSalle, ON/St. Thomas of Villanova) were one stroke back to tie for 34th.

Indianapolis
(300) claimed a one-shot victory over Grand Valley State in the 20-team field.

"I was happy with our play," coach Terri Anthony-Ryan said, "especially without Alainna (Stefan) in the lineup this weekend. Jackie did a good job of bouncing back after our last tournament and that showed a lot. Marni was very steady."

The Titans will return to action April 10 when they host Oakland in a dual match at Western Golf & Country Club in Redford.
