Highlights

DETROIT--  Six Titans scored in double figures, powering Detroit past Concordia (Mich.) 113-68 Friday night at Calihan Hall.  The offensive output was the highest Titan point total since a 115-101 win over Loyola 22 years ago.

It was a night full of milestones.  Friday was the 100th game for Head Coach Ray McCallum at the helm of the Detroit Titans.  It was the first 100-point game for UDM in 13 years, and was the 17th-highest point total ever for a Titan team.

Add in career highs from Jason Calliste in triples (6), a double-double from Doug Anderson (12 pts, 13 rbs) and zero Detroit turnovers in the second half, and the score became lop-sided in the final half of play.  The Titans' 65 points in the final 20 minutes came on 25-of-40 shooting and featured seven three-pointers.

The Titans got a strong offensive push from a relatively unlikely source as LaMarcus Lowe knocked down all four of his shots from the field for a quick eight points in the first half.  Concordia hung around in the opening minutes and held a five-point lead midway through the frame. That's when UDM went on a 15-3 run and put the home team on top for good.

In the second half, Calliste went on a stretch where he connected from deep five times in 5:05. On the night, the junior collected a career-high six from distance, finishing with a game-high 19 points.

Chase Simon flirted with a triple-double, scoring 12 points with nine rebounds and eight assists for the Titans.  Nick Minnerath added 17 (15 in the first half), Ray McCallum had 17 while Anderson and Lowe each contributed a dozen in the blowout.  Evan Bruinsma had nine points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.

Detroit will embark on a four-game road swing over the next eight days. The trip starts Monday in Bowling Green, Ohio in the sub-regional round of the Progressive CBE Classic. UDM battles George Washington at the new Stroh Center in a 5:00 p.m. tip.

Notes: Doug Anderson made his first start as a Titan ... The last time Detroit eclipsed 100 points was a 110-61 win over Oakland in 1998 ... P.J. Boutte scored his first collegiate points with a three-pointer at the 3:09 mark to put Detroit over the 100-point barrier ... It was the 85th 100-point game in Titan history.
