KISSIMMEE, Fla.-- Behind a doubleheader sweep on the final day of action, the Detroit Titan softball team etched four wins at the Rebel Spring Games, completed Saturday.  Detroit defeated Lafayette 6-2 and downed Farleigh Dickinson 4-3 for wins in three of its last five.

Alyssa Schaub led the Titan offense in Florida, hitting .344 with 11 hits, a double, a triple and a homer. Sara Cupp added a dinger and five RBI while Rachel Copple hit .296 with three doubles.  Three different hurlers etched wins in the circle during the trip as Julia Maksym won both ends of the final-day doubleheader.  Karyn McCarty hurled a complete-game one-run gem to start the series and Kat Hoffman picked-up her first collegiate win on Mar. 8 in the 3-2 win over Lehigh.

Detroit (5-12) heads to Dayton on Mar. 20 for a doulbeheader with the Flyers beginning at 2:00 p.m.  It preceeds the home opener a day later against in-state rival Oakland, also a 2:00 p..m first pitch from Buysse Ballpark.
