DETROIT-- Heavy rain and lightning forced the cancellation of Sunday's Detroit v. UIC softball game at Buysse Ballpark. After an hour delay to start the game, the action only made it to the bottom of the first inning before the skies opened on the field and rendered it unplayable.
Detroit has a busy week upcoming, playing its final non-league action Tuesday at Eastern Michigan before the final homestand of the year on Wednesday and Thursday against Youngstown State. The Titans then head to Indianapolis over the weekend to battle Butler.
