ORLANDO, Fla. (3/8/2013) -- Sophomore
Olivia Richards was the top individual finisher as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team had three of the top five scores on the day to post its fifth win of the season defeating Niagara and UIC in a tri-match on Friday afternoon at the Rio Pinar Country Club.
Richards took the top individual spot shooting a 77 in a field of 17 golfers. It was her second career win, almost a year after she took medalist honors at the Titan Quad Challenge as she tallied 11 pars and a birdie, while leading the field with an even 5.00 par 5 scoring average.

Christina Thorne tied each other and carded a 78 to make up the top three marks on the day. Both had 11 pars and a birdie as Sears topped the competition in par 3 scoring average (-1, 2.75), while Thorne was the best golfer on the course's par 4's (+2, 4.20).
The Titans won the overall tri-match combining for a score of 318 beating Niagara by 22 (340) and HL-rival UIC by 30 (348).
