DES MOINES, Iowa (4/23/2015) -- Graduate student Louisa Coppola (Warren, Mich. / Warren Woods Tower) was the lone competitor for the University of Detroit Mercy at the prestigious Drake Relays, as she ran in the 5,000 meter run on Thursday night for the Titans.

Coppola finished 15th overall in the event out of 24 competitors. She ran a season-best time of 17:00.35.

Coppola's time is also the tops in the Horizon League in the 5,000 meters this season.

The Titans are set to compete in two other meets this weekend. Detroit freshman Ben Kendell is entered to run in the 10,000 meters at the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays on Friday night at Hillsdale College, while senior throwers Colin Cashner and Eric Lewis will compete in the hammer at the Penn Relays on Saturday in Philadelphia, Pa.
