Kendall Payne posted a career best 166 and her first-ever top-20 finish as the Titans concluded the Chi-Town Classic on Tuesday.

The event was contested at the Par 72, 5,955-yard Harborside International Golf Course.

Payne tied her career low with an 83 in each round and her final 166 start was nine strokes better than her 175 at the Golden Grizzly Invite. She had 16 pars and two birdies in the two rounds.

Alexa Hatz each shared 20th with a 170 total.

Hatz had the best round in the tournament shooting an 80 in the first round. Henry topped the team with 17 pars, while Hatz and Heath had 15 apiece.

Shana Murphy tied for 23rd with a 173 and freshman
Elle Greenlee totaled a 175 to tie for 26th, a season best for both golfers.

As a team, the Titans ended fourth recording a 672 (334-338).

Detroit Mercy will wrap up the fall season next week at the Dayton Flyer Invitational from Oct. 16-17.Â
