ROCHESTER, Mich. (9/26/2017) -- Freshman
Alexa Hatz claimed a spot in the top 20 as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team ended the Golden Grizzlies Invite on a hot September Tuesday afternoon.
Hatz started her event with an 82 and shot an 80 in the second round for a 162 total, tying for 20th overall.

Shana Murphy shared 33rd with a 170, while redshirt freshman
Kendall Payne posted a 175 in tying for 41st.
As a team, the Titans placed eighth with a 676 (337-339) total.
Detroit Mercy will be back in action in two weeks when they compete in the Chicago State Classic from Oct. 9-10 at the Harborside International Golf Club.

- The Titans had nine birdies in the 36-hole event, tied for the fifth most in the field.
- Hatz and Henry tied for the team lead with three birdies apiece, two coming in the first round, tying for the ninth most among the competition.
- Freshman Elle Greenlee also had two birdies in round one.
- Murphy topped the team with 18 pars, while Hatz added 16.
