DETROIT (12/7/18) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's and women's track and field teams will make the short trek to Findlay, Ohio, for the Oiler Opener on Saturday, Dec. 8.
The field will consist of Detroit Mercy, Tiffin, Oberlin, Bowling Green, Ashland, Ohio Northern and Wright State.
The red, white and blue are coming off of an impressive start to the season, with numerous personal records being set in the season opener.
On the men's side, sophomore
Thomas Mueller earned a silver medal in the mile, while
Daniel Lanfear climbed to #6 on the all-time high jump list in his collegiate debut.
Sophomores
Alan Nava and
Bonanza Cummings set personal records in the 800m and 60m respectively.
Competing this week for the red, white and blue are

On the women's side, junior
Kyri Jackson earned a bronze medal in the 60 meter hurdles, while sophomore
Rebekah Harden set a new personal record and earned third place in the 800m.
Junior
Kayla Hughes and senior
Veronica Towianski also set new personal records in the mile.
