YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (2/28/2026) -- Freshmen
Colin Murray and
Isaiah Fox earned the highest points for the Titans as the Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships started on Saturday at Youngstown State.
Murray had the best result on the day, taking five points by finishing fifth in the 5,000m in a season-best 14:27.26, lowering his Titan rookie record.
Junior
Christopher Russelburg earned a point, placing eighth in the event in 14:44.13.
In the long jump, Fox claimed sixth in 6.92 meters, eighth in school history, while freshman
Nickolas Henson was eighth in 6.83m, as both totaled four team points.
Seniors
Jaden McKenzie and
Antonio Talley moved into the finals of the 400m as McKenzie was fourth in 48.83 and Talley eighth in 49.49 in the prelims, and freshman
Angelo Finnie Jr. moved into the finals of the 60-meter hurdles by finishing sixth in a season-best 8.30, sixth in Titan record book.
Finnie Jr. also joined with senior
Joshua Otten, sophomore
Nicholas Yaquinto, and freshman
Avan Hinkle for seventh in the distance medley relay in 10:20.76.
The heptathlon got started with four events, with freshman
Weston Glei third with 2,671 points and junior
Joshua Neary sixth with 2,350. Glei tied for fifth in the high jump with a season-high 1.89m and was second in the long jump at 6.69m, the best mark for the heptathlon long jump in Titan history.
The final day of the championships will get underway at 9:00 a.m., tomorrow.
