Hatz Leads The Way For Titans At Seminole State Spring Break Invite

DETROIT (3/7/2018) -- Freshman Alexa Hatz tallied her third top-20 finish of the season as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team ended its Seminole State Spring Break Invite on Wednesday.

Hatz posted an 81 in the final round and shared 19th overall with a 163 (82-81).  She ended the tournament with a team-high 18 pars and a birdie. The 19th place effort was her lowest of the season as she previously tied for 20th twice in the fall.

Junior Erica Heath tied for 32nd with a 173 (84-89), while junior Katelyn Henry shared 34th totaling a 174 (84-90).  Both had seven pars on the final 18 with Heath adding a birdie on the day.

As a team, the Titans lowered their team score by eight shots and placed seventh with a 688 (348-340).

Detroit Mercy will be back in action next week, March 12-13, when it competes in Bradley's Spring Break Invitational in Farmers Branch, Texas.
