ROCHESTER, Mich. (9/25/2018) -- Sophomore Kendall Payne led the Titans tying for 27th as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team tied for eighth at the Golden Grizzlies Invitational.

The Titans battled rainy conditions on both days as they tallied a 674 (345-329) in the event, held at the Par 72, 6,056 yard-Katke-Cousins Golf Course.

Payne finished the tournament with a 167 (85-82).

Sophomores Alexa Hatz and Shana Murphy tied for 31st with a 168, while redshirt sophomore Julie Shaw ended in a tie for 39th carding a 171 (87-84). Murphy had the best round for the Titans with an 81 on the final 18

The Titans will have a few weeks off for practice before they close out the fall season by competing in the Dayton Flyers Invitational from Oct. 15-16.
