Jordan Manno had two hits on the day, and Ellie Boteler had an RBI single in game two.

DETROIT MERCY 0 – VIRGINIA TECH 13
The Titans opened the day with a setback against the Hokies of Virginia Tech.

They faced great pitching from Keely Rochard and suffered a tough loss at the hands of a strong ACC opponent.


DETROIT MERCY 1 – ETSU 2
The Titans fell behind early when ETSU put a run on the board in the second inning. 

They threatened a quick response, but stranded runners on first and second in the bottom half of the inning. 

In the fourth inning, Ellie Boteler drove a ball into left field and Manno came around to score, leveling the score at 1-1. 

The Buccanneers regained the lead in the top of the sixth and left the Titans little time to find their way back into the matchup. 

Taylor Gauthier started the bottom of the seventh with a walk and Liz Paver laid down a perfect bunt to advance Gauthier to second base. 

However, the Titans were unable to capitalize on the opportunity and came up just short, losing by a final score of 2-1.

The Titans will head to Madeira Beach for a tournament next weekend, from Feb. 22-24.
