DETROIT (2/20/2020) -- It will be back to the sunshine and warm weather for the Detroit Mercy softball team as the Titans get on a plane and head to Louisiana for this year's Mardi Gras Mambo.
The three-day, five-game event will go on from Feb. 21-23 at the Youngsville Sports Complex in Youngsville, Louisiana.
The Titans are set to face Abilene Christian (2-7) and Northwestern State (4-4) on Friday, Houston Baptist (7-3) and McNeese State (9-2) on Saturday and Nicholls State (4-8)Â on Sunday.

The Titans were in another tough field last week at Arizona State, falling the nationally-ranked ASU, Kentucky and Boise State as well as a setback to Illinois State.Â

Taryn Peru had a big weekend with the bat going 3-of-7 (.428) with two walks, three homers and five RBI. Freshman
Reese Ruhlman was 3-of-8 with two walks and a homer and junior
Ellie Boteler was 3-of-9 with a home run.
