FORT WAYNE, Ind. (2/12/21) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team finished up its opening weekend of action which featured the team competing in the Mastodon Invitational against Horizon League opponents.
 
Six individuals represented the team at the opening event of the indoor season.
 
Sophomore Micah Carey finished third in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump, and senior Rebecca Measel finished fifth in the mile in 5:14.33, a mere 12 seconds back from first place.
 
Overall, the Titans finished eighth, with 15 points as a team.

The team will be back in action next week, Feb. 18, at the Saginaw Valley State Tune-Up.
