DETROIT (4/15/2021) -- The University of Detroit Mercy softball season will end immediately due to health and safety protocols that has left the program with too few players to continue.
The team has not played since March 13 due to positive COVID-19 tests and subsequent quarantines.
"This season has been a challenge for all our programs and I appreciate all the student-athletes, coaches and staff for putting forth the effort competing this season, said Director of Athletics
Robert C. Vowels, Jr. "As I have said before, the health, safety and well-being of all our student-athletes will always be our top priority."
