Alexa Hatz was just shy of the top 7 and All-Tournament honors as she tied for eighth as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team ended their season at the Horizon League Championships on Tuesday.
Detroit Mercy posted its best round of the event with a 310 to take seventh overall with a 941 (314-317-310) scorecard at the par 72, 6,003-yard Ackerman-Allen Golf Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Hatz tied her career-high with a 229 (75-77-77) as she carded a 77 for the second-straight round. She started her round with five-straight pars and had seven on the front nine, while adding two birdies on the back nine.

Julia Shaw ended her career with a career-low 236 (83-76-77) for a share of 24th place. In the second round, she posted a career-best 76 and came back today with eight pars and three birdies.

Shana Murphy tied for 29th with a 239 (79-81-79), while senior
Kendall Payne placed 35th with a 245 (77-83-85). Senior
Elle Greenlee ended the season with a career-best 77 in the final round as she had 13 pars and a birdie en route to a 247 (85-85-77) for 37th place.
The Titans are set to return seven letterwinners from the team and have already signed two recruits for 2021-22.
