Ariel Chang shot a 2-over 74 to end her first event with a top-five finish and senior
Alexa Hatz joined her in the top 10 as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team wrapped up play at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational on Tuesday.
As a team, the Titans tallied a 312 in the second round and ended the event tying for fourth with a 618 (306-312) on the par 72, 6,088-yard Mill Creek Golf North Course.Â
Chang knocked in four more birdies in round two along with eight pars to post the 74 and finished fourth with a 147 (73-74), just one shot off the lead.Â
She had seven total birdies in the tournament - tied for the third most - and was second on the squad with 20 pars. She was also tied for first on the course's par's 5 with a 6-under 4.25 average and was tied for sixth on the par 4's with a 4-over 4.20 mark.Â
Hatz carded three birdies and nine pars in round two for her 4-over 76 and tied for eighth overall with a 149 (73-76) for her fourth career top-10 effort. She was second on the team with six birdies also tied for first in the field on par 5 scoring average (-6, 4.25).Â

Sophia Ubaydi registered an 86.Â
The red, white and blue will next compete in the Golden Grizzlies Invitational on Sept. 26-27 at the Katke-Cousins Golf Course in Rochester, Michigan.Â
