INDIANAPOLIS (3/31/2022) -- Coming off his first career victory, University of Detroit Mercy senior
James Hill was named the Co-Horizon League Golfer of the Week on Thursday along with Wright State's Tyler Goecke.
It is the second time in his career that he has been awarded the honor.
Hill won the Butler Spring Invitational with a career-best 139 (69-70) to finish in a three-way tie, but won on a scorecard playoff with a birdie on 17 and a par on 18.
He was tied for the field lead with eight total birdies and was second on the course's par 4's (-1, 3.96 average) and tied for fifth on the par 5's (-2, 4.50 average). His two rounds under par give him eight on the year at par or better and his 75.97 career average is now 13th in school history.
The Titans will be back in action in a few weeks when they compete in the Wright State Invitational from Apr. 17-18.
