Jordan Hazel each hit as home run while graduate student
Liz Murphy tossed a complete game shutout to lead Detroit Mercy to a 4-0 win against visiting Green Bay earning a doubleheader split on Saturday at Buysse Ballpark.
Hazel belted her first career home run over the right center field wall followed by a solo shot from Tanguay in the third inning. Peru added a two-run blast in the fifth inning for her second long ball of the season. That was all the offense Murphy would need as she matched a season-high five strikeouts while allowing only five scattered hits with no walks in 7.0 innings of work to pick up her first win of the season after the Titans fell 10-0 to the Phoenix in game one.

Taylor Gauthier hit 1-for-3 for the fourth consecutive game while senior
Piper Roth and junior
Jordyn Chapman each recorded a hit.
Game 1:
• With two outs, Green Bay hit three consecutive home runs to take a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning
• The Phoenix added back-to-back home runs in the top of the third inning to move ahead 5-0
• Green Bay increased their lead to 7-0 off a two-run double in the fourth
• The Phoenix added a three-run shot in the sixth inning for their sixth home run of the game
• Redshirt freshman Keria Morrow made her first appearance of the season tossing 2.0 innings in relief
Game 2:
• Hazel hit her first career home run in the third inning followed by Tanguay's solo shot to move the Titans a 2-0 lead
• Peru added a two-run homer in the fifth inning to increase the lead to 4-0.
• Murphy retired the last six Green Bay hitters in order to secure the shutout win
