Graduate senior Alexa Hatz was on the Horizon League All-Tournament Team
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. (4/26/2022) -- Graduate senior Alexa Hatz was in the top five and another graduate senior Shana Murphy was just outside the top 10 as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team finished the Horizon League Championships on Tuesday. 

The Titans placed sixth with a 947 (307-322-318), the eighth-best mark in school history, and the third-best mark ever for the program at the par-73, 6,031-yard Las Colinas course at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida. 

Hatz ended her career with a career-best 228 (75-79-74) as she tied for fourth in the postseason to earn Horizon League All-Tournament honors. She started her round with a birdie and had back-to-back birdies on 11 and 12, while also posting 11 pars on her final 18. 

She led the team with 32 pars and eight birdies, tied for the sixth-most in the competition, and tied for third on the course's par 5's (-3, 4.80 average) and tied for seventh on the par 4's (+9, 4.33).

Her 77.50 average on the year was the fifth-best in school history, while her career 79.58 mark is third. She also had five top-10 marks on the year and eighth in her career to go with 17 top-20 events.

Murphy shared 13th with a 233 (75-80-78) as she had 12 pars and a birdie in her final round. She was second on the team with 31 pars and six birdies in the postseason and was eighth among the competition with an even-par, 5.00 average on the par 5's. Her 79.74 average on the year was 12th in the school record book and her career 82.79 mark is 12th all-time. 

Junior Sydney Bradford claimed a share of 31st with a career-low 244 (83-80-81). She started with three-straight pars and had 10 with a birdie on the day.

Graduate senior Kendall Payne was 33rd with a 245 (74-86-85) as she wrapped up her career with seven pars and two birdies. She was also sixth in school history with a 78.15 average on the year and ended her collegiate career eighth in the record book with an 81.57 average.  

Junior Shae Zydeck carded an 85 as she registered seven pars and a birdie.
