PROSPECT, KY. (3/21/2023) -- Sophomore
Ariel Chang was in the top 20 as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team wrapped Cleveland State's Nevel Meade Invitational on Tuesday.
The Titans shot a 653 (331-322) to finish in 11th at the par 72, 5,953-yard Nevel Meade Golf Club in Prospect, Kentucky.
Chang tied for 14th with a 155 (77-78), just one stroke out of the top 10. Her final round saw her post nine pars and two birdies as she tied for seventh in the event with 21 pars and had a team-high three birdies.
Junior
Sophia Ubaydi tied for 39th with a 162 (81-81) as she recorded an 81 for the second straight day. She had 10 pars and a birdie on her final 18 and had 20 in the tournament.
Freshman
Taylor Kondel shared 55th with a 166 (85-81), while senior
Shae Zydeck was in 63rd with a 171 (87-84).
Detroit Mercy will have a few weeks of practice before the red, white and blue play in Bowling Green's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational from April 7-8.
