DETROIT (4/13/2023) -- One more event is on the docket for the University of Detroit Mercy men's golf as the Titans will compete in the Wright State Invitational for the third-straight year.
The two-day, 54-hole event will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday and finish up with the final 18 on Monday at the par-71, 6,754-yard Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio.
The event will feature live scoring on
GolfStat.
Detroit Mercy will face host WSU, Cleveland State, Eastern Illinois, Green Bay, Murray State, Ohio Dominican, Robert Morris, Southern Indiana, Saint Francis and Youngstown State, with individuals from Dayton.
Last year, the Titans took 13th with a 648 (329-319) at the weather-shortened tournament, while in 2021, the team was 16th with a 935 (304-313-318).
Junior
Alek Mauro leads the team with a 74.46 average, with five top-five efforts on the year in just ninth events. Freshman
Vincent Levesque is second on the team with a 78.04 and junior
Matthew Schultz is third with a 79.29.
