DETROIT (4-14-23) - Senior
Olivia Warrington had a solid outing in the circle tossing her 13th complete game on the season not allowing a run over the first five innings while posting six strikeouts in her second consecutive outing as Detroit Mercy fell 2-0 to NKU in #HLSB series opening action on Friday afternoon at Buysse Ballpark.
Warrington ended up only surrendering two runs off two hits in the sixth inning but was outdueled by NKU (12-26, 7-7 HL) pitcher Lauryn Hicks who tossed a complete game no-hitter with 16 strikeouts.

Jenna Holt was the only Titan (3-27, 2-23 HL) to reach base in the first inning off a walk.
• NKU scored two runs in the sixth inning off an RBI double followed by a single to take a 2-0 lead.
• That was the only run support Hicks needed as she struck out the next five batters on forced a pop-out for the final out to complete the no-hit bid.
Detroit Mercy and Northern Kentucky conclude the series with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 15 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
