Game 1 Recap:
• Detroit Mercy got the bases loaded off a walk, bunt single, and an infield single to first base. Heilner then reached on a fielder's choice to score Holt giving the Titans a 1-0 lead
• NKU took a 2-1 lead with a two-run double in the top of the third inning
• The Norse connected on a two-run homer in the top of the fourth inning to move ahead 4-1.
• Smith's home run cut the lead in half at 4-2 in the bottom half of the fourth.
• NKU added their second home run in the top of the sixth inning.
• After no-hitting the Titans game one, the Norse turned the game over to Lauryn Hicks who picked up her first save of the season tossing the last two scoreless innings.
Game 2 Recap:
• NKU got on the board first with runs off an RBI double and ground out in the first inning. The Titans threatened in the bottom half but left runners on the corners.
• The Norse added a two-run homer in the top of the third to move ahead 4-0.
• Leading off the top of the fourth inning, Heliner appeared to record the Titan's first hit of the game with a base hit through the right side. However, it was ruled she made contact with the ball with a foot outside the batter's box and was called out on the play.
• The Norse then scratched across another pair of runs in the fifth off an RBI double and a sacrifice fly to take a 6-0 lead.
• With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Hazel ripped a shot into shallow left-center field but NKU left fielder Megan Lenhart made an extended catch to preserve the no-hitter.
