DETROIT (4/27/23) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team travels to Concordia University of Ann Arbor for the 2023 Concordia Legacy Classic for the final meet of the season before the Horizon League Championships.
Last Time Out
At the Elaine Leigh Invitational,
Mone Knowles won the 100-Meter at 12.15 seconds and the 200-Meter with a 24.62 second time.
Josie Arnold - at 4:38.00 - took fourth in the 1500-Meter which was a personal record.
The Titans' 4x400 Relay team of
Taylor Tomman,
Josie Arnold,
Alexa Krauth, and
Le'Gary Jackson finished in 4:11.83 which was good for fourth.
Kayla Smith took third in the Discus at 38.34 meters and fourth in the Hammer at 46.35 meters. The Hammer throw was a personal record for Smith.
Zoe Morris earned fifth in the High Jump with a 1.60 meter leap.
McKenzie McNitt scored fifth in the 400-Meter 59.92 seconds.
Kaliyah Favors tallied fifth in the 200-Meter at a personal record time of 25.81 seconds. Favors also finished fifth in the 100-Meter at 12.63 seconds.
Top-10 Titans
At Siena Heights,
Zoe Morris hit the sixth best High Jump in program history with a 1.62 meter clearance.
Rookie
Kaliyah Favors ran a 12.30 second time in the 100-Meter which was good for eighth all-time.
At the Elaine Leigh Invitational,
Josie Arnold turned in a 4:38.00 time in the 1500-Meter which now sits seventh in program history.
In the 400-Hurdles, rookie
Gracelyn Peebles ran a 1:05.31 time for ninth in Titans history.
The rookie record for the 4x400 Relay was also shattered as
McKenzie McNitt,
Jada Clark,
Gracelyn Peebles, and
Kaliyah Favors took down the record with a 4:11.83 time.
Legacy Classic
The Legacy Classic will begin on Friday at noon with the Hammer Throw and Discus as the only events of the day. On Saturday the competition rolls on with Javelin, High Jump, Shot Put, and Long Jump at noon and the first running events taking place at 12:15 p.m. with the prelims of the 100-Meter.

Following the competition at Concordia, the red, white, and blue will turn their attention to the Horizon League Outdoor Championships from Youngstown, Ohio from May 5-7 hosted by Youngstown State.
