ALLENDALE, Mich. (1/26/2024) -- A few Titans moved up in the school record book as the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team tallied some high marks at Grand Valley State's Bill Clinger Classic on Friday.
Senior
Kayla Smith continued her great season, taking second in the weight in a career-best 17.88 meters, inching her closer to the all-time school record as she stands second. She was also sixth in the shot put with a career heave of 12.13m.Â

Alexa Krauth posted a PR in the 60-meter hurdles preliminaries at 9.22 - seventh in school history - and then ran 9.32 for seventh in the race.Â
Graduate senior
Allison Sherman claimed ninth in the 3,000m invite with a career-best 10:04.13, third in Titan history, while junior
Nina Pizzo was ninth in the open mile with a time of 5:27.35.
Senior
Zoe Madden placed seventh in the long jump with a leap of 4.95m and sophomore
Jada Clark had a career time in the 60m preliminaries of 8.33 and took ninth in the high jump with a mark of 1.54m.Â
The Titans will be back in action next Friday as the team travels to the Buckeye State for the Akron Invite.Â
