PORT CLINTON, Ohio (10/1/2024) – Junior Taylor Kondel shot a final round 78 to lead the Detroit Mercy women's golf team at Toledo's Rocket Classic on Tuesday from the par-72, 5,979-yard Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio.

The Titans finished ninth in the team standings with a 54-hole score of 962.

Kondel finished tied for 23rd with a career-best 232 (82-72-78) as she had 14 pars on the day and 32 pars and three birdies in the event.

Sophomore Gabriella Tapp carded a final round 82 to finish in a tie for 27th place with a 54-hole score of 234 (78-74-82), just a few shots off her career 54-hole best.

Freshman Emma McKinley posted a final round 78 and finished 32nd overall with a 236 (77-81-78), while freshman Morgan Jones closed the scoring for UDM with a score of 261 (86-86-89), sharing 53rd place.

The Titans will compete in their final tournament of the fall season beginning on Monday, Oct. 14, as Detroit Mercy plays in the CMU Motor City Match-Up, held at the Birmingham Country Club.
