BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (2-24-24) -  Freshman 
Jada Davis led the way offensively going 2-for-3 overall with a double, single, and two runs scored while junior 
Jaiden Lara went 1-for-2 with an RBI double as Detroit Mercy dropped a pair of games to host Western Kentucky (13-1) and Saint Louis (17-1) on Saturday night on the second day of action at the WKU Hilltopper Classic. 
Sophomore 
Alison Donaugh posted a hit in both games with a double and single while sophomore 
Jenna Holt added her first hits of the season going 2-for-3 against Saint Louis (5-4) 
Junior 
Amanda Schick also recorded a hit while sophomore 
Elyssa Adams had an RBI of a sacrifice fly.
Junior 
Jordan Kavanaugh picked up the loss in the circle vs WKU (10-3-1) going 2.2 innings with a pair of strikeouts. Graduate student 
Olivia Warrington had the loss against the Billikens.
WKU Recap:
• Lara delivered the Titans' first run of the season with an RBI double in the second inning to score Davis for a 1-0 lead.
• WKU responded with four runs in the bottom of the second and eight more in the third to take a commanding 12-1 lead
• UDM had a golden chance to respond in the fourth inning as Schick and Donaugh both hit singles followed by a walk from Davis to lead the bases with one out. However, Lara grounded into a double play to end the threat. 
• The Hilltoppers added one more run in the bottom half and closed out the game in the fifth inning. 
Saint Louis Recap:
• Saint Louis jumped out of the gate with six runs in the first inning. 
• Donaugh posted a double in the second inning but was left stranded.
• Holt got the Titans' second hit in the third inning
• The Billikens added a run in the third and another eight runs in the fourth to take a commanding 17-1 lead.
• Daivs opened the fifth inning with a double and advanced to third base on a passed ball. Adams then hit a sacrifice fly to center field to plate Davis to avoid the shutout. 
Detroit Mercy concludes play at the Hilltopper Classic on Sunday, Feb. 25 against EIU at 11 am ET.
