Amanda Schick went 1-for-2 hitting her first career home run in a Titan uniform in the fourth inning as Detroit Mercy fell 10-1 in #HLSB St. Patrick's Day action at Youngstown State on Sunday afternoon at the YSU Softball Complex.

Alexis Hoff also each drew a walk.
Recap:
• YSU got on the board with two runs in the bottom of the first inning.
• Donaugh drew a walk in the first inning but was left stranded.
• The Penguins broke the game open in the third inning with five runs in the third for an 8-0 lead.
• Schick's home run broke up YSU pitcher Sophie Howell's no-hit bid, putting UDM on the board in the top of the fourth inning.
• However, YSU added three more runs in the bottom half to take a 10-1 lead.
• Hoff's walk came in the fifth inning but the Titans were not able to plate any runs to extend the game.
Detroit Mercy hosts Robert Morris in home opening action at Buysse Ballpark on Friday, Mar. 22 at 3 pm.
