Ariel Chang tallied another top-10 effort as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team finished the Nevel Meade Invitational on Tuesday.
The Titans claimed ninth with a 661 (333-328) at the par 72, 5,953-yard Nevel Meade Golf Club in Prospect, Kentucky.
Chang had 12 pars on the day. She ended tied for eighth with a 160 (81-79), four strokes outside the top 25, for her 12th career top-10 finish. She was fifth in the competition with 21 pars and tied for fifth with a +2, 3.25 average on the par 3s.
Sophomore
Taylor Kondel shared 31st with a 166 (84-82) as she knocked in three birdies and six pars, while senior
Sophia Ubaydi tied for 34th with a 167 (84-83) with a pair of birdies and eight pars. Both Kondel and Ubaydi led the team with four birdies, tied for sixth most in the field.
Detroit Mercy will have a few weeks off before the short trek to Ohio for Bowling Green's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational from Apr. 6-7.
