FLORENCE, Ala. (3-7-24) -  Graduate Student 
Olivia Warrington tossed a complete game shutout allowing only six scattered hits with no walks while sophomore 
Alison Donaugh went 1-for-3 hitting a clutch home run in the top of the seventh inning to lead Detroit Mercy to a 2-0 win at North Alabama for the Titans' and Head Coach Dan Vitale the first victory of the season to open play at the UNA Tournament on Thursday night. UDM lost the nightcap 6-2 to split the doubleheader.

Jada Davis plated sophomore 
Jenna Holt for the game-winning run off a suicide squeeze in the fourth inning. Freshman 
Claire Borg and redshirt freshman 
Olivia Malcolm also each posted a hit.
In the nightcap, sophomore 
Trinity Fessler hit 3-for-4 with two doubles and a pair of run scores while Donaugh went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a pair of walks. Davis also recorded an RBI double while junior 
Amanda Schick posted a hit.
Game 1 Recap:
• In the fourth inning, Holt reached on a hit-by-pitch and was moved over to third off a sacrifice bunt. 
• Davis then laid down a perfect suicide squeeze sacrifice bunt to score Davis who beat the throw to home plate giving the Titans a 1-0 lead.
• UNA got runners into scoring position in the fifth and sixth innings but Warrington was able to get out of both jams. 
• Dounaugh led off the seventh with the insurance home run for a 2-0 advantage.
• Warrington retired the Lions in order to seal her first win of the season
Game 2 Recap:
• Donaugh delivered an RBI single in the first inning scoring Fessler for a 1-0 lea
• UNA added a pair of runs in the third and four more in the fourth to move ahead 6-1
• With two outs in the fifth inning, Fessler hit a double and was driven by Daivs who followed with an RBI double. Donaugh drew a walk to put runners on first and second but were left stranded to trail 6-2.
• Fessler posted her second double in the seventh but the Titans couldn't get anything across. 
Detroit Mercy continues play at the UNA Tournament with a pair of games against Samford and Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday, Mar. 7 at 12:30 pm and 5 pm ET.
