INDIANAPOLIS (4/13/2024) -- Junior
Ariel Chang registered her 13th career top-10 finish as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team ended the regular season at the IUPUI Lady Jaguar Invitational on Sunday.
Chang tied for ninth with a 152 (75-77), two shots out of the top five and six in back of the leader. Her final round saw her tally two birdies and 11 pars as she led the team and was tied for seventh in the field with 22 pars overall as well as the team lead with four birdies.
Freshman
Zell Wilson shared 36th with a season-low 159 (74-85), while sophomore
Kyla Charlebois tied for 47th with a career-low 162 (78-84). Wilson tied for the team lead with four birdies, while Charlebois tied for seventh among the competition with a +1, 3.13 average on the par 3's.
As a team, UDM was 10th with a 638 (307-331) at the par 72, 6,157-yard Plum Creek Golf Club.
The Titans will have a few days to prepare for the Horizon League Championship next weekend, April 20-22, at the Mission Inn Resort's El Campeon Course in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
