Jenna Holt added a hit as Detroit Mercy opened up #HLSB series action with a 10-2 setback at Northern Kentucky on Friday at Ignatius Grein Field.

• Detroit Mercy drew five total walks in the game to place a runner on base in every inning except the fourth.
• Holt led off the game in the first inning with a single and advanced to second off a walk from junior
Jordan Kavanagh. Both runners advanced to second and third off a wild pitch with two outs. After freshman
Claire Borg drew a walk, Holt scored off a throwing error giving the Titans a 1-0 lead.
• NKU tied the game off a sacrifice fly in the bottom half.
• The Norse added a pair of runs in the third inning and took a commanding 9-1 lead after posting six runs on seven hits in the fifth inning.
• The Titans got a run back in the fifth as Davis' double drove in Holt.
• NKU then added a final run in the sixth to close the game.
Detroit Mercy concludes the series with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 27 at 4 pm.
