ROCHESTER (4/6/2024) -- Senior
Kayla Smith tallied a couple of top-five efforts and four other Titans claimed top-10 finishes as the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team competed at Oakland's Golden Grizzly Invitational on Saturday.
Smith was second in the hammer with a toss of 50.15-meters and claimed fifth in the discus at 41.71m.
Sophomore
Gracelyn Peebles placed sixth with a time of 1:05.18 in the 400-meter hurdles, while senior
Alexa Krauth made the finals of the 100-meter hurdles and was eighth overall in 15.13.
Senior
Zoe Madden earned seventh in the triple jump at 9.69m and eighth in the long jump at 5.08m and sophomores
Jada Clark and
Zoe Morris tied for fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.50m.
UDM will have a busy week next weekend as part of the team will be at the Chippewa Challenge on Friday, while others will participate in the Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
