Amanda Schick went 1-for-3 delivering a clutch two-run double in the fourth inning while sophomore
Jenna Holt also went 1-for-3 reaching on a fielder's choice to bring home the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning lifting Detroit Mercy to a 3-2 series-opening win over Green Bay on Friday at Buysse BallPark. This victory also marked the Titans' second consecutive #HLSB win for the first time this season.

Jordan Kavanagh was solid pulling double duty as she picked up her second win of the season in the circle tossing her team-best eighth complete game with four strikeouts. Kavanagh also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. Freshman
Alexis Hoff also went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.

Elyssa Adams each accounted for one of UDM's nine total hits.
Recap:
• Green Bay opened the game with third straight hits to load the bases with no outs before Kavanagh retired the next three batters in a row to get out of the jam.
• In the bottom of the fourth inning, Schick's double down the left field line scored Hoff and pinch runner
Alicia Avina for a 2-0 lead.
• The Phoenix scratched across a run on a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning and tied the game at 2-2 off an RBI single in the top of the sixth.
• In the bottom half of the sixth, Hoff hit a single followed by Schick reaching on a fielder's choice and a walk by Adams to load the bases. Holt then reached on a fielder's choice that scored Hoff from third, giving the Titans a 3-2 lead.
• Fessler stepped up and drove a shot into left field where GB's Kaylin Fahy made a diving catch to prevent two more runs from scoring and end the inning.
• Kavanagh then retired the side in the seventh to seal the game.
Detroit Mercy and Green Bay close out the #HLSB series with a doubleheader on Senior Day Saturday, May 4 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
