KEWADIN, Mich. (9/2/2024) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team closed out play in its first fall event at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational on Monday in Kewadin, Michigan.
The Titans were 12th overall with a 993 (340-323-330) at the season opener on the par 72, 6,010-yard A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort.
Junior
Taylor Kondel led the way by taking 52nd with a 244 (83-79-82).
Junior
Kyla Charlebois (92-76-82) and freshman
Emma McKinley (85-84-81) shared 62nd with a 250. The scorecard was just one stroke shy of Charlebois' career best, while McKinley lowered her score in every round and her 81 was the best on the day for the squad.
Juniors
Sydnie Redovich tied for 68th with a 253 (84-84-85) and freshmen
Morgan Jones and
Sophie Hauser tied for 80th with a 265.
The Titans will have a few weeks off before competing in Youngstown State's Roseann Schwartz Invitational on Sept. 22-23.
