BOARDMAN, Ohio (9/23/2024) -- Junior
Taylor Kondel finished in the top 30 to lead the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team at Youngstown State's Roseann Schwartz Invitational on Monday.
Kondel ended the event tallying a 4-over 76 to share 30th with a 155 (79-76). Her final round saw her record 10 pars and three birdies, including playing the front nine even at 36.
Sophomore
Gabriella Tapp tied for 41st with a 160 (81-79), while freshman
Morgan Jones tied for 60th with a (83-82). Tapp registered 11 pars and Jones had six pars with two birdies.
Juniors
Kyla Charlebois and
Sydnie Redovich shared 67th after totaling 167, and freshman
Emma McKinley was 74th with a 170, but she did knock in an eagle on the par-5 18th hole.
As a team, the Titans posted a 648 (325-323) for 13th at the par 72, 6,036-yard Mill Creek Golf North Course in Boardman, Ohio.
Detroit Mercy will be back in action next week as it heads back to Ohio for Toledo's Rocket Classic from Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
