Gabriella Tapp tallied the best round of the event to place in the top 20, and freshman
Emma McKinley led the red, white and blue as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team wrapped up the Nevel Meade Collegiate on Tuesday
The Titans lowered their score from round one and took fifth with a 661 (336-325) at the par 72, 5,891-yard Nevel Meade Golf Club in Prospect, Kentucky.
McKinley led UDM tying for 13th with a 162 (80-82). She struggled to start the day, but then had a run of six pars in eight holes and ended her round with two pars and a birdie in her final four.
Tapp concluded the final round, shooting 78 to share 16th with a 163 (85-78). She began the day with four straight pars and later played the front nine just two over, knocking in five more pars and a birdie.
Junior
Kyla Charlebois registered an 82 to earn 24th with a 166 (84-82), while junior
Sydnie Redovich tied for 27th with a 170 (87-83).
The Titans will be back in action next week, Mar. 24-25, when they compete in NKU's The Julie, held at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio.
