Two Titans Earn Top 30 At NKU's The Julie

Junior Sydnie Redovich had the best round for the Titans with a 77.

BATAVIA, Ohio (3/25/2025) -- Two Titans shot in the 70's, and the team took 16 shots off its first-round score as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team finished NKU's The Julie on Tuesday.

Detroit Mercy was tied for eighth after one round and finished in sole possession of eighth after posting a 318 on the final 18 and recording a 652 (334-218) at the par 72, 6,142-yard Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio.

Junior Gabriella Tapp shot a 79 in the second round lead UDM by tying for 19th with a 160 (81-79). Her final round saw her knock in 10 pars as she led the team with two birdies and 18 pars in the tournament.

Junior Sydnie Redovich had the best round for the Titans in the event, carding a 5-over 77 in the final round and tying for 27th with a 162 (85-77). She had 10 pars and a birdie in on the final day of competition and was second on the team with 17 total pars.

Junior Taylor Kondel shared 37th with a 165 (85-80) as she registered 10 pars on the day, including eight of the nine holes on the front nine, while junior Kyla Charlebois ended with a 168 (86-82) for 53rd place and was tied for first in the field with a 3.00 average on the course's par 3's.

Detroit Mercy will have a week off before returning to action at Purdue's Boilermaker Spring Classic, Apr. 6-7.
