Taylor Kondel started slow, but kicked it in gear to stay in the top 10 as the second round of the Horizon League Championships concluded on Sunday.
Detroit Mercy posted a 339 and is in seventh place with a 671 (332-339) at the par 73, 6,022-yard El Campeon Course at the Mission Inn Resort.
Kondel is tied for ninth with a 159 (80-79), just four strokes outside the top five. She started round two six over in her first five holes, but rebounded to play even par the rest of the way with nine pars and two birdies.
Sophomore
Gabriella Tapp is tied for 23rd with a 166 (80-86) as she posted seven pars.
Freshman
Emma McKinley shares 31st with a 172 (85-87), while junior
Sydnie Redovich is tied for 33rd with a 175 (87-88). Redovich also came away with an eagle on the par 5, 14th hole.
The final round of the event will tee off at Noon on Monday.
