HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. (4/21/2025) -- Junior Taylor Kondel just missed a top-10 finish as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team wrapped up its season at the Horizon League Championships on Monday.

UDM tallied a 1,002 team score for seventh at the par 73, 6,022-yard El Campeon Course at the Mission Inn Resort. 

Kondel challenged for the top 10 all tournament long and moved into the top five at one point, settling for a share of 11th with a 239 (80-79-80). She was one over through her first 11 holes, recording eight pars and a birdie, before a few bogeys in her last seven holes. She had 31 pars and three birdies in the event, ending her season with an 80.4 average, second on the team.

Sophomore Gabriella Tapp was 27th with a 252 (80-86-86), while freshman Emma McKinley placed 30th with a 257 (85-87-85). Tapp registered 25 pars and two birdies overall and ended the year leading the team with an 80.3 mark.

Freshman Morgan Jones ended her rookie campaign 31st, carding a 258 (91-87-80) as she lowered her score in every round and knocked in eight pars and two birdies. Her four birdies also topped the team.

Junior Sydnie Redovich once again had the highlight of an eagle on the par 5 14th hole - her second straight round with an eagle on the same hole - and placed 32nd with a 261 (87-88-86).

The Titans will get ready for the summer amateur season and return as a team when the fall season starts in September.
