DETROIT (4-29-25) – The Detroit Mercy softball team takes a break from #HLSB play with a non-conference battle at in-state foe Central Michigan on Wednesday, April 30 at 3 p.m. The game will be broadcast live from Margo Jonker Stadium on Chippewas All-Access.
 
Coming Down the Stretch:
• Detroit Mercy is 7-14 in conference play, sitting in a seventh-place tie with arch-rival Oakland (7-14), just one game behind Green Bay (8-13) for the sixth and final spot for the 2025 #HLSB Championships heading into the final weekend of conference play against IU Indy.
 
Take it back to 2019:
• Detroit Mercy posted 4-3 and 1-0 Metro Series wins over archrival Oakland, giving the Titans their first overall series win over the Golden Grizzlies since 2019.
• UDM followed that performance with a 9-5 and 4-1 doubleheader sweep at Robert Morris, which gave the Titans back-to-back #HLSB series wins for the first time since the 2019 season.

Game 39 - Detroit Mercy 4 at Green Bay 5 – Apr. 29 2025:
Junior Trinity Fessler went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI while freshman Natalie Babcock hit 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored as Detroit Mercy rallied from a 4-0 deficit to tie the game before coming up short with a 5-4 setback at Green Bay in #HLSB series finale action on Monday afternoon.
 
Freshman Madeline Hallman went 1-for-3 with an RBI, run and walk. Senior Amanda Schick and freshman Liv Peterson also hit 1-for-3 to round out the seven total hits for Detroit Mercy's (10-29, 7-14 HL). Freshman Wendy Ketola added an RBI on a fielder's choice.
 
Game 37 - Detroit Mercy 0 at Green Bay 3 | Game 38 - Detroit Mercy 3 at Green Bay 9 – Apr. 28, 2025:
Sophomore Jada Davis hit a two-run home run while senior Amanda Schick hit 3-for-6 overall as Detroit Mercy dropped a 3-0 and 9-3 #HLSB series opening doubleheader at Green Bay on Sunday afternoon. Freshman Allison Fluker also recorded a hit in each game as she, Davis, and Schick accounted for all six of Detroit Mercy's (10-28, 7-13 HL) hits on the day.
 
Do it all Davis:
•Sophomore Jada Davis leads the team in batting average (.303), hits (36), RBI (20), doubles (7), triples (3 – 7th HL), home runs (4), runs (17), total bases (61), multi-hit games (9), three-hit games (2), OPS (.896), and slugging percentage (.523).
• Hit .500 going 5-for-10 with a double and three runs, giving UDM its first Metro Series win over Oakland since 2019.
• Posted a .444 average going 4-for-9 with a pair of doubles and three RBI, helping the Titans secure their second consecutive #HLSB series win for the first time since the 2019 season.
 
Flynn Named Under Armour® #HLSB Pitcher of the Week:
• Freshman Erin Flynn was named Under Armour® #HLSB Pitcher of the Week announced by the league (4/15).
• Flynn, a native of Rochester Hills, Mich., posted a 2-1 record for the week, recording two complete game wins with a save in relief, tossing 17.0 scoreless innings out of 20.0 total for a .070 ERA with 13 strikeouts.
• Recorded her first career save, pitching 2.0 scoreless innings while allowing only two hits in UDM's 4-3 win over arch-rival Oakland.
• Flynn was lights out in the circle, going the distance, tossing 8.0 scoreless innings with five strikeouts, picking up her third win of the season in the series-clinching 1-0 game vs Oakland, giving the Titans their first series win over the Golden Grizzlies since 2019.
• She locked down her second complete game win of the week and fourth win of the season, going 7.0 innings (6.0 scoreless), allowing only one run on five scattered hits while matching a career-high six strikeouts, leading Detroit Mercy to a doubleheader sweep over Robert Morris with a 4-1 game two win.
• The DH sweep gave the Titans back-to-back #HLSB series wins for the first time since the 2019 season.
 
Turing a Triple Play:
In their series-opening win against Oakland (4/8), with runners on third and second with no outs in the fifth inning, clinging to a 4-3 lead, the Titans also pulled off a rare triple play to get out of the jam. OU's Alyssa Balcom hit a soft grounder to the first baseman Klaft who tagged Balcom and threw over to freshman Natalie Babcock. Babcock stepped on third base to double off the runner and then threw over to freshman Wendy Ketola at second to get the runner out to complete the triple play.
 
Double Trouble:
• Davis (7) and junior Trinity Fessler (7) led the team in doubles followed Sophomore Alexis Hoff (4) in second, while Ketola (3), Fluker (3), and Creon (3) rank third, followed by Babcock (2), Hallman (2), Schick (2), Peterson (1), and Daniels (1).
Give Em' Three Bags:
• Davis (3) leads the team in triples, followed by Ketola (1), Babcock (1), Holt (1) and Klaft (1).
• Babcock connected on her first career triple while Holt hit her first triple of the season at PFW (3/27).
Wendy Ketola posted her first career triple at Alabama A&M (3/6).
• Klaft hit her first career triple against WIU (2/8).
• Davis hit a pair of triples at the DePaul Rosemont Tournament against Butler (2/8) and St. Thomas (2/9) to lead the team (3).

• Freshman Natalie Babcock has the team's longest hit streak at eight games (3/21 YSU – 4/1 MSU).
• Fessler posted a seven-game streak, which began on (3/27 PFW – 4/19 NKU).
• Earlier in the season, Holt posted a seven-game streak (3/21 YSU – 4/3 CSU).
• Freshman Madeline Hallman (4/8 Oakland – 4/13 RMU) and Davis (4/9 Oakland – 4/18 NKU) each had a six-game streak.
 
Offensive Production:
Green Bay Series:
• Schick led the team, hitting .444, going 4-for-9 overall with a double while hitting 3-for-6 overall.
• Babcock hit .400 overall, going 2-for-5 with a double and a run.
• Fluker also recorded a hit in each game as she, Davis, and Schick accounted for all six of Detroit Mercy's hits in the series-opening doubleheader.
• Fessler went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in the series finale.
• Davis hit her team-best fourth home run of the season with a two-run shot at Green Bay (4/27).
 
NKU Series:
• Klaft hit .500, going 2-for-4 with a run, while Peterson hit .400 going 2-for-5 from the plate.

• Fessler hit .308 with four hits, four RBI, a double, and her first home run of the season.
 
Oakland Series:
• Hit .500, going 5-for-10 with a double overall in the series win over Oakland, including hitting a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs in the 4-3 series-opening win.
Abby Klaft hit 1-for-2 with a pair of RBI as Detroit Mercy snapped an eight-game skid with a thrilling 4-3 Metro Series win over arch-rival Oakland.
• Senior Amanda Schick made her return memorable delivering the game-winning RBI single scoring Davis in the bottom of the fifth inning.
• Freshman Madeline Hallman also hit 2-for-3 to round out Detroit Mercy's seven hits.
• With runners on second and third with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, sophomore Liv Peterson delivered a clutch walk-off single to score freshman Allison Fluker, giving Detroit Mercy a 1-0 win over arch-rival Oakland in the first leg of doubleheader action.
• Flynn was lights out in the circle going the distance, tossing 8.0 scoreless innings with five strikeouts, picking up her third win of the season.
• Peterson hit .667, going 4-for-6 with a double with two RBI.
• Davis hit .500 going 5-for-10 with a double and three runs
• Hallman hit .400 going 4-for-10 with two runs
• Klaft went .375 going 3-for-8 with three RBI.
 
CSU Series:
• Hallman went 1-for-1 with her first career double, while junior Jenna Holt hit 1-for-2 in the series opener at CSU (4/3).
• Sophomore Alexis Hoff hit 1-for-3 with a two-run RBI double, while freshman Abby Klaft went 1-for-3 with a run scored in game two.
 
MSU DH:
• Babcock hit 2-for-3 with a run scored in game one and recorded the Titan's lone hit in the first inning in game two at MSU (4/1).
• Davis went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.
• Freshmen Abby Klaft and Madeline Hallman also hit 1-for-3 while senior Jordan Kavanagh drove in UDM's lone run off a sac fly.
 
PFW Series:
• Junior Jada Davis was one of two players to hit .500 for the series at PFW going 6-for-12 with six RBI, two runs, and a home run.
• In the doubleheader, she went 5-for-8, belting her team-best second home run of the season with four RBI and a pair of runs scored, and added a two-run single in the series finale.
• Junior Jenna Holt also hit .500 going 5-for-10 with two RBI, a triple, and five runs scored.
• Holt hit 4-for-6 with an RBI triple, two runs scored, and a walk in the doubleheader and an RBI single in game three.
• Freshman Abby Klaft hit 2-for-3, connecting on her first career home run hitting .400 (2-for-5 overall.
• Freshman Wendy Ketola went 3-for-6 with a walk in DH action while also hitting .400 (4-for-10) for the series.
 
YSU Series:
• Babcock Hit .500, going 5-for-10 overall with a home run, three RBI, and three runs to lead Detroit Mercy to their first #HLSB series win over YSU.
• Had quite the breakout performance, leading Detroit Mercy to a 6-5 and 7-6 #HLSB doubleheader sweep over the Penguins.
• In game one, she hit 2-for-3 with three RBI, connecting on a two-run shot for her first career home run along with an RBI single.
• In the nightcap, Babcock went 2-for-4 with her first career double and delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning.
• Also went 1-for-3 in the series finale.
• Fessler hit a team-best .556, going 5-for-9 with three RBI, a double, a run scored, and two walks.
• Ketola posted a .429 average hitting 3-for-7 with two RBI, two doubles, and four runs scored.
 
Alabama A&M DH and UNA Tournament:
• Freshman Allison Fluker started in all seven games for the week, hitting .294, going 5-for-17 with three RBI, a double, first career home run, and 13 defensive putouts.
• Recorded a hit in four straight games of UDM's State of Alabama road swing.
• Hit her first career home run against Samford.
• Went 1-for-3 with a pair of runs and two RBI, helping Detroit Mercy to a 13-9 come-from-behind win at Alabama A&M for their second consecutive win of the season.
• Also hit 1-for-3 helping the Titans to a 3-2 come-from-behind win at North Alabama, handing the Lions just their fifth loss of the season.
• Freshman Leah Daniels had quite the day hitting 1-for-3 with two a run double, four RBI, and a pair of runs scored, leading in the Titans' 13-9 win at Alabama A&M.
• Redshirt freshman Lauren Creon has a breakout performance, hitting 5-for-10 with two doubles, an RBI, and a run.
• She went 3-for-6 in two games at Alabama A&M with her first career double as a Titan.
• Creon also went 2-for-2 with an RBI double with a run scored in UDM's 3-2 win at North Alabama.
• Sophomore Jada Davis went 1-for-4 with a triple, run, and a pair of RBI in UDM's win at Alabama A&M.
• She also went 2-for-3 belting her first homer of the season along with an RBI double at North Alabama
• Overall, Davis hit .261 with a home run, triple, double and four RBI.
 
Jeannine McHaney Memorial Classic at Texas Tech:
• Borg hit a team-best .667 with four hits, a run going 3-for-3 with two RBI, including driving in the winning run in the eighth inning, leading the Titans to a 3-2 win over former #HLSB opponent UIC, securing the victory of the season.
• Daniels hit .429 with three hits and an RBI.
• Davis posted a .333 ave. with four hits, a double, and a run.
• Ketola hit .300 with three hits.
• Fessler had two hits with a double.
 
DePaul Rosemont Tournament
• Fluker and Klaft led the team, hitting .364 with four hits each with a double and triple, respectively.
• Fessler hit .333 with four hits and a double.
• Davis hit .250 with a double and two triples with three RBI.
• Keown also hit .250 with two hits with a team-best five RBI while hitting the team's first home run of the season.
 
In the Circle:
• Senior Jordan Kavanagh won her fourth game of the season, going the distance in game one, recording three strikeouts at RMU (4/13).
• Kavanagh picked up her third win of the season in the circle, going 5.0 innings with three strikeouts, allowing three runs off one run off eight scattered hits vs Oakland (4/8).
• Freshman Erin Flynn added her first career save, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings while allowing only two hits vs Oakland (4/8).
• Kavanagh tossed a gem in game one, going 6.0 innings with a season-high seven strikeouts while only allowing one run off five scattered hits. However, she came up short in a pitcher's duel as the Titans were no-hit by CSU pitcher Melissa Holzopfel for her third career no-hitter (4/4).
• Flynn had a solid outing in the circle, tossing 6.0 innings, allowing only two runs on five scattered hits in 2-1 setback at MSU (4/1).
• Sophomore Claire Borg tossed 4.2 scoreless innings in relief in game one, helping Detroit Mercy rally from a 6-0 deficit in the 6-5 setback at PFW (3/27).
• Flynn tossed 12.2 consecutive scoreless innings over two days with eight strikeouts in Detroit Mercy's #HLSB series win over YSU.
• Picked up her second win of the season, tossing 5.2 shutout innings in relief, allowing only three scattered hits with a career-best six strikeouts in the Titans' 6-5 series-opening win.
• In the series finale, Flynn had another solid performance in the circle, tossing seven scoreless innings with two strikeouts, allowing only two runs off a double in the top of the eighth inning as Detroit Mercy came up short in a 2-1 setback.
• Kavanagh picked up her first win of the season by going the distance, allowing only two runs on five scattered hits with two strikeouts. as Detroit Mercy grinded out a 3-2 come-from-behind victory in the seventh inning at host North Alabama (3/8).
• Freshman Paige Keown picked up her first career and collegiate win in the circle tossing a complete game with four strikeouts while allowing only four earned runs in Detroit Mercy's 13-9 come-from-behind win at Alabama A&M (3/8) for their second consecutive victory of the season.

The Skipper Returns:
• Head Coach Dan Vitale returns for his second season at the helm of the Detroit Mercy softball program. Vitale returned to the program in 2024 after helping guide the Titans to the 2019 Horizon League Championship as a Volunteer Assistant Coach.
• Helped the Titans to a series victory over Green Bay, giving them their first #HLSB series win since 2019.
• Led the UDM to a 2-1 Metro Series win over arch-rival Oakland for the first time since the 2019 season (4/11).
 
Coaching Staff Additions:
 
Christina Skalsky (Assistant Coach/Pitching):
Skalsky was named Assistant Coach of the Detroit Mercy softball team in the Fall of 2024 and brings over 20 years of pitching coach experience to the Titans.
 
Skalsky served as Assistant Varsity Coach at L'Anse Creuse North High School for three years (2020-23) and spent 12 years as an Assistant Coach for the Michigan Batbusters travel team (2010-22), helping many student-athletes sign and continue their love to play collegiate softball.
 
Skalsky also spent time as the Pitching Coach at Northwood University in 2005, where she helped guide one of the greatest turnarounds in program history. The 2005 team earned 34 overall wins while going 14-6 in league play, earning the first conference championship in school history. Her pitching staff won the most games while recording the most strikeouts, shutouts, and lowest ERA in school history. The Timberwolves also made their first appearance in the NCAA tournament in program history advancing to the quarterfinals. For their accomplishments, the 2005 team was inducted into the Northwood Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2024
 
Tony Misuraca (Assistant Coach/Outfield):
Misuraca was named Assistant Coach of the Detroit Mercy softball team in 2024 and brings 25 years of coaching experience to Titans, including 16 years as the head coach at Sterling Heights Stevenson High School. He earned 444 career victories while leading Stevenson to two Macomb Area Conference (MAC) Red titles, nine district titles, and two regional titles.
 
Under his direction, 39 former Stevenson players went on to play collegiate softball. Misuraca also was inducted into the Macomb County Athletic Directors Association Hall of Fame in 2025.
 
2025 Preseason Poll:
For the second consecutive season, Detroit Mercy was picked to finish ninth in the 2025 #HLSB Preseason Poll announced by the league office and voted on by the league's nine coaches. The Titans received 16 overall points.
 
Season Rewind:
Game 36 - Detroit Mercy 1 vs Northern Kentucky 5 – Apr. 19 2025:
Redshirt junior Chloe Spitzer made her fourth appearance of the season, posting 2.0 scoreless innings in relief with two strikeouts, while junior Trinity Fessler went 1-for-4 with an RBI as Detroit Mercy dropped a 5-1 decision to Northern Kentucky in the series finale at Buysse Ballpark on Saturday afternoon. Detroit Mercy recorded seven total hits with freshman Abby Klaft going 2-for-3 while freshmen Allison Fluker, Natalie Babcock and Madeline Hallman each hit 1-for-3 with Liv Peterson going 1-for-2.
 
Flynn Brilliant in the Circle as Titans Split Doubleheader with Northern Kentucky
Game 34 - Detroit Mercy 7 vs Northern Kentucky 1 | Game 35 - Detroit Mercy 0 vs Northern Kentucky 6 – Apr. 18, 2025:
Freshman Erin Flynn, the reigning #HLSB Pitcher of the Week, was straight dealin' once again in the circle as she locked down a two-hit complete game win allowing only one run with a career-high eight strikeouts to lead Detroit Mercy to a 7-1 game one win over Northern Kentucky in doubleheader action at Buysse Ballpark on Good Friday. The Titans fell 6-0 in the nightcap.
 
Junior Trinity Fessler and sophomore Jada Davis belted back-to-back home runs in the first inning while senior Amanda Schick went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Freshman Natalie Babcock added a two-run single, with freshmen Allison Fluker and Wendy Ketola posting an RBI each in game one.
 
Titans Sweep Doubleheader at Robert Morris
Game 32 - Detroit Mercy 9 at Robert Morris 5 | Game 33 - Detroit Mercy 4 at Robert Morris 1 – Apr. 13, 2025:
Freshman Erin Flynn was dynamic in the circle, locking down her second complete game win of the week, tossing 7.0 innings, allowing only one run on five scattered hits with six strikeouts, leading Detroit Mercy to a #HLSB sweep over Robert Morris with a 4-1 game two win. Junior Trinity Fessler picked the perfect time to hit her first home run of the season with a two-run shot, lifting the Titans to a 9-5 win in game one at the North Athletic Complex on Sunday afternoon. With the sweep, UDM secured its second consecutive league series win for the first time since the 2019 season.
 
Fessler went 3-for-9 overall with four RBI off a single, double and homer with three runs scored. Freshman Madeline Hallman hit 4-for-8 overall with two RBI, two runs scored and two walks in game one while sophomore Jada Davis went 2-for-6 with a pair of RBI. Freshman Wendy Ketola hit 1-for-4 with an RBI and run scored in each game.

Game 31 - Detroit Mercy 1 at Robert Morris 4 – Apr. 12, 2025:
Sophomore Jada Davis led Detroit Mercy from the dish, going 2-for-3 with a double and RBI single. Junior Trinity Fessler and freshman Madeline Hallman each added a hit as the Titans came up on the short end of a pitcher's duel with a 4-1 set at Robert Morris in series-opening action at the North Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
 
Freshman Erin Flynn was solid in 3.0 innings of work, allowing only four hits and one earned run with a strikeout. Senior Jordan Kavanagh tossed 3.0 scoreless innings in relief, not allowing a hit with three strikeouts.
 
Titans Split Doubleheader to Take #MetroSeries in Dramatic Fashion for the First Time Since 2019

With runners on second and third with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, sophomore Liv Peterson delivered a clutch walk-off single to score freshman Allison Fluker, giving Detroit Mercy a 1-0 win over arch-rival Oakland in the first leg of doubleheader action on Wednesday afternoon at Buysse Ballpark. It marked the first time the Titans secured two Metro Series wins over the Golden Grizzlies since the 2019 season. Peterson hit 2-for-2 overall with a double coming off the bench. Freshman Erin Flynn was lights out in the circle going the distance, tossing 8.0 scoreless innings with five strikeouts, picking up her third win of the season. UDM (7-23, 4-8 HL) came up short going for the sweep in the nightcap falling 7-4.
 
Freshman Allison Fluker went 2-for-3 with a double while freshman Wendy Ketola also hit 2-for-3. Freshman Madeline Hallman also recorded a hit in both games with a pair of runs scored.
 
Peterson also hit 2-for-4 with an RBI in game two while sophomore Jada Davis also went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Freshman Abby Klaft hit 2-for-3 with an RBI while senior Jordan Kavanagh added an RBI.
 
Titans Snap Skid with Metro Series Win Over Arch-Rival Oakland
Game 28 - Detroit Mercy 4 vs Oakland 3 – Apr. 8, 2025:
Sophomore Jada Davis went a perfect 3-for-3 with a pair of runs scored, while freshman Abby Klaft hit 1-for-2 with a pair of RBI as Detroit Mercy snapped an eight-game skid with a thrilling 4-3 Metro Series win over arch-rival Oakland on Tuesday evening at Buysse Ballpark.
 
Senior Amanda Schick made her return memorable delivering the game-winning RBI single scoring Davis in the bottom of the fifth inning. Freshman Madeline Hallman also hit 2-for-3 to round out Detroit Mercy's (6-22, 3-7 HL) seven hits.
 
Senior Jordan Kavanagh picked up her third win of the season in the circle going 5.0 innings with three strikeouts allowing three runs off one run off eight scattered hits. Freshman Erin Flynn added her first career save tossing 2.0 scoreless innings while allowing only two hits.
 
Game 26 - Detroit Mercy 0 at Cleveland State 1 | Game 27 - Detroit Mercy 2 at Cleveland State 4 – Apr. 4, 2025:
Sophomore Alexis Hoff hit 1-for-3 with a two-run RBI double, while freshman Abby Klaft went 1-for-3 with a run scored in game two as Detroit Mercy came up short, 1-0 and 4-2 at Cleveland State in #HLSB doubleheader action on Friday afternoon at Viking Field.
 
Senior Jordan Kavanagh tossed a gem in game one, going 6.0 innings with a season-high seven strikeouts while only allowing one run off five scattered hits. However, she came up short in a pitcher's duel as the Titans (5-22, 2-7 HL) were no-hit by CSU (14-14, 9-2 HL) pitcher Melissa Holzopfel for her third career no-hitter.
 
Game 25 - Detroit Mercy 0 at Cleveland State 8 (5 inn.) – Apr. 3, 2025:
Freshman Madeline Hallman went 1-for-1 with her first career double, while junior Jenna Holt hit 1-for-2 as Detroit Mercy dropped an 8-0 decision at Cleveland State in #HLSB series opening action at Viking Field.
 
Game 23 - Detroit Mercy 1 at Michigan State 2 | Game 24 - Detroit Mercy 0 at Michigan State 20 (5 inn.) – Apr. 1, 2025:
Freshman Natalie Babcock hit 2-for-3 with a run, while freshman Erin Flynn had a solid outing in the circle, tossing 6.0 innings, allowing only two runs on five scattered hits as Detroit Mercy was edged 2-1 by B1G opponent Michigan State during game one of doubleheader action on Tuesday afternoon at Secchia Stadium. The Titans then fell 20-0 in the nightcap.
 
Sophomore Jada Davis went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. Freshmen Abby Klaft and Madeline Hallman also hit 1-for-3 while senior Jordan Kavanagh drove in UDM's (5-19) lone run off a sac fly.
 
Game 22 - Detroit Mercy 5 at PFW 10 – Mar. 28, 2025:
Sophomore Alexis Hoff went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored while freshman Abby Klaft hit 2-for-3 connecting on her first career home run. However, Detroit Mercy rallied within a run at 5-4 but Purdue Fort Wayne pulled away in the final two innings for a 10-5 win in the series finale on Friday afternoon.
 
Freshman Leah Daniels also hit 2-for-3 while junior Jada Davis added a two-run single. Junior Jenna Holt and freshman Madeline Hallman also added RBI singles. Freshman Wendy Ketola and Natalie Babcock each had a hit to round out 11 total for the Titans.
 
Game 20 - Detroit Mercy 5 at PFW 6 | Game 21 - Detroit Mercy 4 at PFW 9 – Mar. 27, 2025:
Sophomore Jada Davis had a solid effort at the plate, going 5-for-8, belting her team-best second home run of the season with four RBI and a pair of runs scored as Detroit Mercy battled but came up short with a 6-5 and 9-6 setback in #HLSB doubleheader action at Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday afternoon. 
 
Jenna Holt hit 4-for-6 with an RBI triple, two runs scored and a walk while freshman Natalie Babcock hit 3-for-7 with an RBI triple and a walk. Freshman Wendy Ketola went 3-for-6 with a walk while junior Trinity Fessler went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and run in game two. Freshman Madeline Hallman also posted a hit in each game.

Game 19 - Detroit Mercy 1 vs YSU 2 (8 Inn.) – Mar. 22, 2025:
Freshman Erin Flynn had a solid performance in the circle, tossing seven scoreless innings with two strikeouts while allowing her only two runs off a double in the top of the eighth inning as Detroit Mercy came up short in a 2-1 setback against Youngstown State in the series finale at Buysse Ballpark on Saturday afternoon.
 
Freshman Wendy Ketola went 1-for-3 with a clutch RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning. Juniors Jenna Holt and Trinity Fessler, along with freshmen Natalie Babcock and Allison Fluker, each accounted for a hit to round out the five total for UDM (5-15, 2-1HL). The Titans were also held scoreless for seven innings by YSU (5-25, 1-5 HL) pitcher Kelsey Orin.
 
Detroit Mercy Secures Home Opening #HLSB Doubleheader Sweep Over YSU
Game 17 - Detroit Mercy 6 vs YSU 5 | Game 18- Detroit Mercy 7 vs YSU 6 – Mar. 21, 2025:
Freshman Natalie Babcock had quite the breakout performance, leading Detroit Mercy to a 6-5 and 7-6 #HLSB doubleheader sweep over Youngstown State in home opening action on Friday at Buysse Ballpark. In game one, Babcock hit 2-for-3 with three RBI, connecting on a two-run shot for her first career home run with an RBI single. In the nightcap, she went 2-for-4 with her first career double and delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning.  
 
Junior Trinity Fessler went a combined 4-for-7 with three two RBI, a double, and a run scored. Freshman Erin Flynn picked up her second win of the season, tossing 5.2 shutout innings in relief, allowing only three scattered hits with a career-best six strikeouts in game one. In game two, senior Jordan Kavanagh also picked her second win in relief with two strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work.
 
Redshirt sophomore Lauren Creon had hit in each game including an RBI double. Sophomore Jada Davis had a hit in game one and went 2-for-4 with an RBI in game two. Freshman Wendy Ketola hit 2-for-2 with an RBI double, run scored, and walk while junior Jenna Holt had two total hits and a pair of RBI in the nightcap.

Game 16 - Detroit Mercy 1 vs ULM 9 (6 Inn.) – Mar. 9, 2025:
Detroit Mercy closed out UNA Tournament play with a 9-1 setback to Louisiana Monroe at Hilda B. Anderson Softball Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Jada Davis recorded the Titans' only hit while junior Trinity Fessler secured an RBI off a sacrifice bunt.
 
Detroit Mercy Grinds Out Win at Northern Alabama after Setback to Louisiana Monroe
Game 14 - Detroit Mercy 0 vs ULM 10 (5 Inn.) | Game 15 - Detroit Mercy 3 at North Alabama 2 – Mar. 8, 2025:
• Redshirt sophomore Lauren Creon went 2-for-2 delivering the game tying RBI double while senior Jordan Kavanagh picked up her first win of the season as Detroit Mercy grinded out a 3-2 come-from-behind victory in the seventh inning at host North Alabama on the second day of UNA Tournament play on Saturday at Hilda B. Anderson Softball Stadium. The Titans fell 13-0 to Louisiana Monroe earlier in the afternoon.
 
• Kavanagh went the distance, allowing only two runs on five scattered hits with two strikeouts. Junior Jenna Holt went 1-for-4 with a run, with freshman Allison Fluker going 1-for-3 with a run. Freshman Allison Fluker also recorded a hit to round out the five total for the Titans (3-12).
 
• Freshmen Wendy Ketola, Abby Klaft, Jade Blanchard and Holt each accounted for one of UDM's four hits against ULM (16-10) in the first game.
 
Game 12 - Detroit Mercy 3 vs Samford 10 | Game 13 - Detroit Mercy 0 at North Alabama 6 – Mar. 7, 2025:
• Freshman Allison Fluker hit her first career home run while sophomore Jada Davis went 2-for-3 belting her first homer of the season along with an RBI double as Detroit Mercy opened UNA Tournament play with a 10-3 setback to Sanford and 6-0 loss to host North Alabama on Friday at Hilda B. Anderson Softball Stadium.
 
• Freshman Wendy Ketola went 1-for-3 with a double while redshirt sophomore Rusti Glenn, junior Jenna Holt, and sophomore Claire Borg each recorded a hit against the Bulldogs (14-7).
 
• Klaft and freshman Allison Fluker recorded the Titans' (2-11) only hits against the Lions (16-3) in the nightcap while Ketola drew two walks.
 
Detroit Mercy Wins Second Straight Game with Doubleheader Split at Alabama A&M
Game 10 - Detroit Mercy 13 at Alabama A&M 9 | Game 11 - Detroit Mercy 2 at Alabama A&M 10 – Mar. 6, 2025:
• Freshman Leah Daniels had quite the day hitting 1-for-3 with two a run double, four RBI and a pair of run scored leading Detroit Mercy to a 13-9 come from behind win in game one doubleheader action at Alabama A&M securing the second straight win of the season on Thursday afternoon at Bulldog Softball Field. Freshman Paige Keown picked up her first career win in the circle tossing a complete game with four strikeouts while allowing only four earned runs. The Titans dropped the nightcap 10-2.
 
• UDM (2-9) racked up a season-high 13 hits as sophomore Jada Davis went 1-for-4 with a triple, run and a pair of RBI while freshman Allison Fluker went 1-for-3 with a pair of runs and two RBI. Freshman Wendy Ketola posted her first career triple with two runs scored. Redshirt sophomore Lauren Creon, freshman Natalie Babcock, also recorded a hit while junior Trinity Fessler had a pair of runs and two walks.

Game 9 - Detroit Mercy 3 vs UIC 2 (8 inn.) – Feb. 22, 2025:
• Sophomore Claire Borg came up clutch, going 3-for-3 with two RBI, including driving in the winning run in the eighth inning, leading the Titans to a 3-2 win over former #HLSB opponent UIC, securing the victory of the season.
• UDM racked up a season-high eight hits as sophomore Jada Davis went 2-for-4 with a run while junior Trinity Fessler went 1-for-4 with a run. Freshmen Allison Fluker and Natalie Babcock each recorded a hit, while Leah Daniels secured an RBI off a sacrifice fly.
• Freshman Erin Flynn was solid in the circle, tossing 7.0 innings with four strikeouts, allowing two runs (one earned), picking up her first career win.
• Senior Jordan Kavanagh picked up the save, keeping the Flames off the board in the eighth inning.
 
Game 8 - Detroit Mercy 0 vs UTEP 2 – Feb. 22, 2025:
• UDM had seven hits with Fessler and Davis each hitting a double but came up on the short end of a pitcher's duel, only surrendering both runs off a pair of wild pitches.
 
Game 6 - Detroit Mercy 0 at #12 Texas Tech 10 | Game 7 - Detroit Mercy 0 at #12 Texas Tech 20 (5 inn.) – Feb. 21, 2025:
• In game one, freshman Madeline Hallman broke up Texas Tech (10-3) pitcher Bailey Lindermuth's no-hit bid with a single to the shortstop. Freshman Wendy Ketola recorded Detroit Mercy's (0-7) second hit of the contest with a single to center field in the sixth inning.
 
• In the nightcap, freshman Leah Daniels accounted for half of the Titans' four hits going 2-for-2 while sophomore Jada Davis and freshman Wendy Ketola added a hit each.

• Junior Trinity Fessler went 2-for-6 overall with an RBI and walk as Detroit Mercy fell in walk-off fashion with a 3-1 setback to St. Thomas.

Game 1: Detroit Mercy 0 vs DePaul 1 – Feb. 7, 2025:
• Senior pitcher Jordan Kavanagh went the distance, tossing 6.0 innings with seven strikeouts in the season opener. 
 
• The Blue Demons (1-1) scored the only in the bottom of the sixth inning with an RBI triple and retired the Titans (0-1) in the top of the seventh to earn the victory. Detroit Mercy's best scoring chance came in the top of the fourth. However, the Titans grounded into a fielder's choice and failed to plate any runs across. 
 
• The red, white, and blue registered three hits. Freshman Liv Peterson was 1-of-3, while fellow freshman Allison Fluker was 1-of-2, and freshman Wendy Ketola also went 1-of-2 with a walk. It was the first collegiate hits of their careers for all three players. Junior Trinity Fessler drew a walk, while junior Jenna Holt stole a base.
