DETROIT (4-17-26) - Junior
Liv Peterson went 2-for-4 with an RBI double while junior
Jada Davis went 1-for-4 with a two-run double to drive in the eventual game-winning run in Detroit Mercy's 4-3 game one win at arch-rival Oakland. The Titans came up short in the nightcap, falling 3-0 on Friday afternoon at the Oakland Softball Field.
Senior
Trinity Fessler also hit 1-for-4 with an RBI single as the trio accounted for all of the Titans' (14-23, 6-5 HL) four runs. Freshman
Savannah Schultz won her fifth consecutive start in the circle, tossing 5.0 innings with three strikeouts. Sophomore
Erin Flynn picked up her second save of the season, going 2.0 innings.

Addison Pokley also each hit 1-for-3 to round out eight total hits for the Titans in game one.

Wendy Ketola, Higgins, Davis, and Schultz each went 1-for-3 in game two.
Game 1 Recap:
• Peterson delivered an RBI double to plate Higgins, followed by an RBI single from Fessler, scoring Peterson, giving UDM a 2-0 lead in the top of the first.
• After getting the first two batters out, the Golden Grizzlies (22-16, 6-5 HL) loaded the bases after three straight walks, but Schultz was able to get the last batter to fly out, leaving the bases juiced.
• Davis connected on a two-run RBI double to score pinch-runner
Aleah Tanguay and Pokley, moving the Titans ahead 4-0 in the top second inning.
• OU got three runs on five hits to pull within a run in the bottom of the fourth.
• Flynn came into the game and held the Golden Grizzlies at bay, leaving a runner on base in the sixth and two in the bottom of the seventh to secure the two-inning save.
Game 2 Recap:
• The game was scoreless over the first three innings.
• UDM got runners on second and third in the top of the fourth inning but left them stranded.
• OU scratched across a run in the bottom half to take the lead.
• Oakland added an unearned run off a wild pitch, followed by a double-steal at second and home to take a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning and closed out the game over the final two frames.
The Titans and Golden Grizzlies play the series finale on Saturday, April 18, at 4 p.m.
