Amanda Schick went 1-for-4 with two RBI while freshman
Leah Daniels hit 2-for-3 with a double as Detroit Mercy dropped an 11-3 non-conference title at in-state foe Central Michigan on Wednesday afternoon at Margo Jonker Stadium.

Josalyn Dietlin went 1-for-2 at the plate, posting her first career hit while also making her first career start in the circle, going 3.0 innings with three strikeouts. Freshman
Wendy Ketola hit 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored, while freshman
Abby Klaft also went 1-for-3.
Recap:
• Detroit Mercy (10-30) took a 1-0 lead in to start the game in the first inning off an RBI single from Schick to plate Ketola.
• CMU (25-22) took a 3-1 lead in the bottom half with a two-run single followed by a runner scoring in a caught stealing run-down situation.
• The Chips added a sac fly in the second inning and scored two more runs in the fourth off a sac bunt and wild pitch to lead 6-1.
• Schick lined out to first base, scoring Ketola, cutting the lead to 6-2 in the fifth inning.
• Once again, CMU responded in the bottom half with two more runs off an error and RBI single to lead 8-2.
• In the top of the sixth inning, redshirt sophomore
Rusti Glenn stole second base, which allowed freshman
Jade Blanchard to score for an 8-3 deficit.
• The Chips then added an RBI double followed by a two-run walk-off home run to end the game in the bottom of the sixth.
