SAGINAW, Mich. (1/16/2025) -- Freshman
Imani Sharp tied a school record in her collegiate debut at Notre Dame, but this time around, she cemented herself as number one as the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team finished the SVSU Classic on Friday.
In all, the Titans collected eight gold efforts at the meet.Â
Sharp had a great day, starting with winning the 60m in a school-record 7.61, besting her 7.65 at UND. She also won the 200m in 25.80.
Freshman
Nadia Hill set a Titan rookie mark by winning the high jump with a leap of 1.73 meters, second overall in school history.Â
Graduate senior
Abby Winkle claimed first in the 400m in 59.26, while senior
Claire Hunt was the first to the finish line in the 3,000m in a career-best 10:42.84.
Freshman
Abigail Mullings was victorious in the triple jump with a mark of 10.87m, while senior
Lyla Mullins won the shot put with a throw of 13.65m.
The event concluded with the quartet of Winkle, senior

Gabriela Gashaj, and sophomore
Audrey Williams taking the 4x400 with a time of 4:04.98.Â
Along with the wins, Detroit Mercy saw sophomore
Haley Lipscomb earn second in the 60-meter hurdles with a career-low 9.08. Freshman
Mia Seaton was second in the 400m in 1:01.15, and sophomore
Julia Young was runner-up in the triple jump with a leap of 10.23m.
Sophomore
Meghan Koss finished third in the 60m, clocking 7.93, and freshman
Jariana Rivas had a pair of bronze finishes with a 4.78m in the long jump and 9.76m in the triple jump.Â
The Titans will be back in action next Saturday, Jan. 24, when they compete in Eastern Michigan's Bob Parks Memorial.Â
