Freshman Ayla Bowers was ninth in the shot put at SVSU.

DETROIT (1/31/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team recorded one top-10 mark in school history and a few top-10 efforts as the Titans ended a pair of events on Saturday.

Graduate senior Abby Winkle finished 14th in the 400 meters at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational in a time of 57.46, ninth in school history.

Also at Notre Dame, freshman Imani Sharp was ninth in the 60m in 7.72, while freshman Nadia Hill claimed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.62 meters.

At Saginaw Valley's Jet Invitational, freshman Mia Seaton placed ninth in the 400m, clocking 1:00.13, while rookie Ayla Bowers tossed the shot put 11.50m for ninth.

On the opening day on Friday at SVSU, senior Claire Hunt earned third in the 5,000m in 17:53.52, the 12th best run in school history.
