Junior Gabriela Gashaj was part of the winning 4x400 at Oakland.

ROCHESTER, Mich. (4/4/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team captured a pair of events and tallied 13 top-five performances as the Titans began the outdoor campaign at Oakland's Golden Grizzlies Invitational on Saturday.

Freshman Nadia Hill won the high jump with a mark of 1.58 meters, while the 4x400 meter relay team of senior Jada Clark, junior Gabriela Gashaj, sophomore Sofia Figueroa, and freshman Mia Seaton clocked a winning time of 4:18.11.

Sophomore Lyla Mullins posted a pair of second-place finishes, throwing the shot put 11.38m and launching the discus 37.50m, while sophomore Julia Young earned runner-up in the triple jump with a leap of 10.09m

The Titans will have a couple of meets next weekend as some of the team will be at Bucknell for the Bison Outdoor Classic, while others will be at Central Michigan's Chippewa Challenge.
