DETROIT (4-6-26) - Sophomore
Erin Flynn tossed her fourth complete game of the season, allowing only three scattered hits with five strikeouts to lead Detroit Mercy to a 3-1 win over Northwestern Ohio on Monday afternoon at Buysse Ballpark. The second leg of the doubleheader was canceled due to rain and lightning in the area.

Claire Borg went 1-for-3, hitting her second home run in three games, while freshman
Addison Pokley also went 1-for-3 with an RBI single.

Elyssa Adams also each hit 1-for-3 to account for four of Detroit Mercy's (11-21) six hits.

• After a scoreless two innings, UDM got on the board in the first inning as speedy sophomore
Wendy Ketola pinch ran for Adams and promptly stole second and third base, making her 15-for-15 in stolen base attempts. Sophomore
Madeline Hallman then reached on an error to score Ketola, giving the Titans a 1-0 lead.
• Pokley's RBI single in the fifth scored Tanguay for a 2-0 advantage.
• Borg then smacked her second home run of the season over the right-center field wall for a 3-0 Titan advantage
• After a pop-out in the bottom of the seventh, Flynn gave up a solo homer, followed by a single, but was able to regroup and close the door on the Racers, striking out the last two batters to end the game.
Detroit Mercy resumes #HLSB play with a series against Green Bay beginning on Friday, April 10, at 3 p.m. at Buysse Ballpark.
